Great Groomers don't always make great teachers, but a great teacher can make Groomers Great

Animal Career Academy is proud to have an experienced and professional grooming instructor as its Manager and head instructor. Mia Krauss. Mia Krauss taught Pet Grooming at the prestigious New York School of Dog Grooming. Ms Krauss spent four years teaching hundreds of grooming students their skills, both in their grooming techniques and further, how to be a Pet care professional.  Ms Krauss started her Animal Care Career in 1974 at the New Milford Animal Hospital in Connecticut as a Veterinary Technician.  On weekends she trained with one of the top professional dog handlers and breeders of Champion Cocker Spaniels.  After moving from New York City, Ms Krauss ran her own salon in Pennsylvania. Ten years ago, she moved to Florida and opened Earthpet Emporium: A Grooming Salon and Retail store specializing in Holistic Pet Care Products. She has been our  Manager at Animal Career Academy, for 3 years, at our location in the beautiful and luxurious, Paradise Pet Center In Boca Raton, Fl.  In addition to her Grooming background, Ms Krauss has  varied background in all aspects of animal care. In the early 90's she ran a consulting business.   In 1995 She produced a video tape, "Dental care In the Grooming Salon"  which was voted in the top 25 best new products by the readers of Groom and Board Magazine.

Our evening Instructor Margaret Martin is a highly skilled veteran pet stylist with thirty-five years experience.She has had the pleasure of developing her quality styling skills and pet communication skills working with master groomers where she truly learned the "art" of pet styling. Ms Martin has learned to easily communicate with her four legged clients; she has had vast experience in kind obedience training and working with agility dogs. Ms Martin will put her quality pet styling skills and pet communication skills with the Animal Career Academy instructional method that has been teaching students the art of styling with us for three years.

This combination of skills, experience and knowledge, makes the training Ms Krauss and Ms Martin brings to the students of Animal Career Academy unique and unmatched. What makes a Grooming School great , is the quality of its instructors.
